Dinner with Russo

A little known fact about moi- I can never resist a dare. So when Hunky Handyman triple-dog- dared-me to eat a mini octopus you better believe I tried. I used my fork to paw at the tentacles. I even cut the brain of the octopus in half to see the insides. (My grandfather was a Doctor so you better believe I have a dash of a scientist in me.)

Did I succeed? That would be a definite no. I bit off one chuck of the brains and nearly vomited.

So, instead, I gave the slimy wonder to my two cats, BeBe and Lux.

I loved this pic of the two-I dropped the camera mid-shot, so, they look like little ghosts.

Oh. Uh uh! I don't even THINK so. Never eat anything that can suction itself to your plate.

Ew.

I've actually eaten one before. Yep, I'm not kidding. I was young. And pressured. Hey, the other kids were doing it! All two of them. Funny story.

Russo, Russo, Russo...Why, please, would you start with the brains? Perhaps you would have had better luck if you had started with an arm.

And where the heck did you get an octopus this side of the Pacific? And why did you start with the brain? And Cally, could you not call it an arm? And why did you start with the brain?

I'm feeling sort of traumatized . . .

Ah, you guys were so sweet to comment. Thanks for making my day!

Janiel, this is so gonna be my life motto, "Never eat anything that can suction itself to your plate."

Sara, I am seriously impressed that you ate one at a kid-that took guts.

Cally, I am so remembering that advice-"never start with the brains" I love your wit!

BTW Janiel, you can always get me to laugh hard. Hey the octopus is at
the Asian Buffet over by Target. Dare ya to try it, lol

Maegan, you made me laugh out loud. I know, that poor lil octopus. Didn't know what hit him.

You're tough, Russo. I love a girl who attempts *most* dares, and I'm adding your new life motto to my list of mottos.

I've popped over to this blog in the past... I'll add it to my Reader, although my blog reading/writing/commenting has tapered. Still fun to jump in and play, though.

You girls are neat. :-)
